*tap*tap* Hello? Is this thing on?

Just wondering if anyone’s out there.

Since Ynnej has moved to a farm and Olya is in the outback, I expected to hear less from my readers, but it’s been so quiet around here for so many months, I’m wondering if this here journal has any readers left at all.

I haven’t heard from readers like Brian, Kathy, Jen, Will, Yuliya, or even Mr. Crack, in eons.

Leave me a comment if you’re out there. It’s lonely in here.

Yay! I still have a least three readers! Well, I know Jason also still reads, since he’s the one who comments more than anyone else. And Velma checks in every few days...but I have to pay her to do it.

@Andi and Jake:
Glad to hear I still rate virtual visits from the Illinois contingent. Did I ever send you a link to that Chicago website I mentioned the last time I saw you?

You didn’t lose the monocle, I hope!

@todd s:
Glad my bookmark made the cut ; ) I liked your abstracts.

I still check out your blog from time to time. Since Jocelyn arrived I've done a lot less web surfing and even less commenting!

BTW, I haven't had any luck getting your rss feed to work, and I mostly read blogs in my reader now, so it would be really cool if you could clue me in to how to get that working. (-: Kathy

When they “upgraded” a year or so ago, I think Blogger broke their RSS feeds for users like me who publish to our own servers. Since we’re a less important market for them, they don’t really fix stuff for us very fast : \

I looked for a fix for this, but I’m switching to WordPress soon so I didn’t spend a lot of time on it. You should have no problem with RSS after I switch, tho.

Hmm, and you clocked in at 8:46am with your comment, no doubt looking for this week’s Top 5. Sorry it was late today.

I’ll try to get them published by 7:30am for you early-risers. Thank bog for Blogger’s ability to post-date entries; I usually put these up Wednesday nights, for auto-publishing the next morning while I’m still snoring in bed.

Jason berated me for not mentioning in the original post that he checks the Rant every day, and Olya sent me an email (she never comments right in the blog! so annoying!) saying she checks in every few days.

So let’s see, that brings me up to 10 readers, woohoo!

Reminds me I gotta go look at my stats sometime soon...
