Nurture versus nature
More and more over the past few years I've been connecting the dots between things I probably learned from my parents.
I have only a very miniscule circle of close friends. They are the people I respect a great deal, and would do almost anything for. Most importantly, I can count on them. I rarely ask them for anything, but I always know I'd get it.
I think I choose these types of people because all my life I've wanted to avoid the sktechy people my mom chooses.

(I know this was kind of a serious, "aww" sort of post, but...)

Meh. Speaking as the owner of a dual 1.8 ghz G5, sure they seem cool at first but after a while you really miss seeing that little spinny multicolored cursor thingy. Ever. :-P
Seriously, can any computer that won't boot into OS 9, let alone 8.1, really call itself a Mac?
I wonder if I can overclock my 1.4ghz G4 (upgraded from 466 mhz) until it is the fastest classic-Mac booting computer on the planet. Just three more months until I don't need it for my dissertation and I'm going for it...
What, you didn't really want a serious thread here, did you Mark?
