Rumor: Flash-based iPod

Rumor has it that Apple will introduce a Flash-based iPod at MacWorld SF in January.

This is not a rumor, and it's not new. On Oct. 1st it was already public knowledge that well known wall street analyst Jason Pflaum told investors in a report that SigmaTel was coming out with the newly designed flash mp3 player for Apple Computer. Goodness gracious, this is old news! What is the big deal? Apple probably leaked it out to Pflaum, who covers SigmaTel.
This will be confirmed when the new player is announced at macworld '05.
