Let's see, President Reagan was investigated for nearly seven years and some $750K later on Iran-Contra and was completely exonerated.
May God rest Ronald Reagan the greatest president of the 20th Century, a man of freedom and liberty that pushed back the tide of repressive communism so others could be free.
Reagan was no more saintly than any other U.S. president of the 20th century. Like most of them, he did a lot of good, and a lot of bad.
Perhaps, friend, you should do a little more research:
1. Iran-Contra:He knew. And he knew it was illegal. And he was being stepped all over by his staff, who were the real ones running the country. Sound familiar? 2. Iran-Contra: Read the Tower Commission Report for yourself. I can lend you my copy. 3. Legacy:Reagan's policies weren't as "groundbreaking" as those with short memories prefer to believe. 4. Single-handedly ended the Cold War? Don't overlook the Gorbachev factor.
And I'll end with one more on Iran-Contra:"Americans came to believe he was larger than life. He isn't. He's a human being. He blew it." --Newt Gingrich

Ronald Reagan was a great American who let us believe in America again. May he rest in peace.
